USAID works to improve land and resource governance and strengthen property rights for all members of society, especially women. USAID land tenure programs are active in 23 countries, with $215 million dollars committed to these programs. This map reflects a broader initiative led by the Global Donor Working Group on Land to compile information on all donor-funded land and resource governance programs. The global Land Governance Programme Database and Map currently lists information on over 500 programs in more than 100 countries.
